It is a laboratory in which research, teaching and third-party activities are carried out.
In the Laboratory, chemical and electrochemical synthesis of organic, inorganic, metal-organic compounds, coordination compounds, metal nanoparticles and nanostructured materials are carried out.
CHINANOR Nanomaterials designs new molecular compounds and nanomaterials, tests their structural, spectroscopic, catalytic and/or electrocatalytic properties. The application areas include: the synthesis of chemicals from renewable sources, of bioactive molecules, from conductive polymers; heterogeneous catalysis and/or electrocatalysis for sustainability.

Services and consultancy
CHINANOR Nanomaterials carries out consultancy and activates research contracts for industrial innovation needs within the scope of the "third mission". The research group also carries out activities in collaboration with the Interdepartmental Industrial Research Centers CIRI MAM and FRAME (Technopoles of Bologna, Faenza and Ravenna).
Educational activities and training
CHINANOR Nanomaterials offers its resources to support:
Three-year and master's courses in inorganic, analytical and organic chemistry;
Development of bachelor's and master's degree theses;
Development of research projects of doctoral students and post-doctoral students;
Implementation of projects in the field of school-work alternation;
Lectures at the MASTER MACOF on composite materials.
The coordinators of the research groups in which CHINANOR Nanomaterials is divided are also referents for the laboratory activities.
