Quality of research and teaching
The Quality Assurance System must produce documented or measurable effects on the improvement of teaching, research and third mission activities, and indirectly on administrative and management activities.
Quality of Research
As far as the quality of research is concerned, the approach dictated by Quality Protection consists in introducing quality principles in the department: transparency, self-assessment, information sharing, reporting of results in terms of indicators and documental evidence. It promotes a culture of quality to facilitate self-evaluation, offering support to the Departments in defining research and third mission goals according to their own specificities and in line with the goals of the University Strategic Plan.

Specifically, both in the University and in the Department, it involves putting in place goals, tools, actions and checks in order to implement a quality policy with the aim to continuously improve the programme catalogue.
